Cape Point is some of the roughest water in the world. The water is crazy. Almost angry. Going out to Diaz Beach we hit a swell so big that when the boat hit the water after being airborne for what seemed like eternity I actually hurt my back. The swim was amazing. The water was rough in the beginning, just how I like it and the water was cool but not too cold. We rounded the famous lighthouse and the water flattened out. All I had to worry about now was not being eaten by a shark and the rest was easy.
What an amazing swim. Thinking about Cape Point always makes me smile.
